North America is where the ego investment case study really flowered. If somebody had not put a stop to this thing, it would have eventually broken the continent. Pop psychology would have flown way off into total blatant support of the ego invested, people would go on reality TV and have a blatant frantic ego snap of deliberate use of stupidity and become a new genuinely worshiped celebrity figure.
It's all America's fault, but, you're oblivious Canada. Too many of you watched the American channels as a child and subconsciously locked yourself into the acceptance of entirely psychotic behaviour, thinking that what we don't like about Americans is that they're rude and obnoxious and stupid. A lot of us who didn't become a little lost with you, they can't really see it. A lot of us see it, we label America an entirely psychotic culture, however we still have the bottomless depths of what we're seeing in you as an emulated American quite neatly compartmentalized. You have to disappear from our mind when we discover who you are, but we have to keep it together, we have to continue living amongst you.
We probably would have left your level of cognitive functioning alone, lack of perceptual filter bypass, nobody would have been able to hit it, some people go a little ego invested in their behaviours, they're annoying. Oh. It can do this? Well. Now I bet the rest of the world would probably like to bypass their perceptual filters as well. Maybe we need eugenics.
