Canada's Cultural Conditioning: Foreward by Kit Carruthers
We all seem to think we're looked upon by the rest of the world favourably. And, we, basically are, but not like we think we are. We're in our own little world as well. We're... America influenced. That's what it's called. People who come to our country do need to isolate a little for a reason. We're a little off as well.

The public presentation false blank polite Canadian persona that horror locks anybody out of being a public asshole, that one is perfectly fine, that is very proper use of public persona.

However the secondary persona, the workplace school lesser social gathering false image persona, this one drifts a little too far into America places. We're not trying to ram it into our core, however we are a little bit trying to ram it into our ego. At least we don't take it home with us, we don't take it to parties, but, it's still a little too much.

In childhood, it doesn't really matter so much what you've been taught by your parents. You either know Canada means something or Canada doesn't mean anything. If you know Canada doesn't mean anything it's just a comfortable fit that doesn't mean anything, there's no reason for you to practice any thought towards it. Those of us who know Canada doesn't mean anything and the concept of Canada not meaning anything doesn't mean anything will hear the words of the children who think Canada means something. We blur, we hear a bunch of words, we hard compartmentalize a philosophy of no philosophy, apparently there's a bunch of people who think there's a philosophy. Now we have to look at them, oh well, it doesn't matter, there's a bunch of people who disappear from our minds, whatever. You don't even bother looking at your thinking with "And then doop doop doopy doop off he goes." Just. Okay. And then he's gone. In this moment of compartmentalization your mind is actually doing something incredibly urgent. You're holding in a mass cultural dementia, these are the things that destroy you and cause for you an inability to go on with your life. If you have not done it correctly it may cause you to enter into a bit of a float. If you've compartmentalized it properly, when you meet a nationalistic Canadian you think to yourself... Hehe? Doesn't mean anyting to me. Nor does the concept of it not meaning anyting mean anything to me. Nor do who you are as a person mean anything to me. You're just a flap flappng blob of carbon. Okay then. Off you go.

All of the American cultural conditioning relating to hearing somebody yell in public, that all applies to us as well. We have a slightly smaller percentage of our population locked into it, but the ones who are locked into it take it just as seriously. However the first time you see an American at our university observing with happy judgement everyone goes "WOAH WHAT THE FUCK." I was thinking I know, I've been observing this kind of thing on the internet since I was very young, you've never met one of these things in person, it's ALARMING, what the fuck is happy judgement? Do not yell at it. Do not make fun of it. It reinforces itself. This is the shield. This one does not have his American security detail, he's all alone, but, I still wouldn't test it.

A little bit of the other American cultural conditionings apply to us as well, however quite a bit lighter. Many of you have flattened yourself at the media, but, at least Canada offers us an option, we're offered an out, we're not forced to do this or else ostracized. In high school you learn you can isolate with groups of people who will have no problem with expression of personality, however you still sort of know you don't get to show all of you. It isn't the same as with American high school where you have to hard cut yourself out of the rest of the high school interaction and deal with constant "I bet you just look down your noses at us well WE LOOK DOWN OUR NOSES AT YOU." Most of us flatten ourselves knowing we're doing so to maintain in front of the others and when you get to know somebody you get to drop your safety barriers and admit that you have experienced a life you have a spark of personality.

We seem to be conditioned to cling to there's a Canada. There's not so much. There's a little bit of a Canada, a tiny bit, but it most certainly isn't poutine and hockey. Just knock it off, you're embarrassing the rest of us, stop trying to display this to the rest of the planet. We're much happier being a nothing culture that embraces mass multiculturalism. Oh you want a culture? Well. Look at it. It's poutine and hockey. KNOCK IT OFF.

There's... There's like three or four better not that significant things to cling to than poutine and hockey. It would look a lot more intelligent if you clung to those. But. Stop clinging to anything.

NO AMERICA, that was not a sad statement. Nobody cares. NO THAT WAS NOT A SAD STATEMENT EITHER. EVERYBODY FUCKING SHUT UP.

Oh, but, we need to refine our self serving judgement of America. There are a lot of things to judge... On the war of 1812, just leave it alone, they need to be in their own little world. Yes no technically we were Britain but it's still Canada it doesn't mean anything it doesn't matter this is about them we need to let them be in their own little world. They live within rewritten history and semi-rewritten technicality of term definition. HOWEVER, when it comes to our judgement of America... We went the peaceful route and they went the mean bad angry route. No, had they not opened the door with their violent freedom maneuver we would not have been given that option. You're looking right at the boundaries of happy judgement, other countries don't do their self serving judgement of other countries like that.

You want to dement your psyche? Turn yourself into a nationalistic Canadian and then learn all that means is poutine and hockey and we went the peaceful route. Now you yourself are only poutine and hockey and we went the peaceful route. You may well end up starting to speak in the non-existent accent we accidentally gave America to help them make fun of us.

Oh, and, Tim Hortons... SHUT UP. Look, look at what you're doing. You're demonstrating nationalism. Big fat grand display of all nationalism is by being the stupidest country to ever adopt nationalism. Go fucking tell the planet all us people have a heritage, a warm friendly heritage of poutine and hockey and we went the peaceful route and Tim Hortons. I'm not embarrassed for Canada, it doesn't mean anything to me, but you're making a lot of people embarrassed for Canada. You are a big fat fucking farce of entire concept of nationalism needs to go away, it does this. It presents it's nationalism to all of the other nationalists and now they think every single Canadian is poutine and hockey and we went the peaceful route and Tim Hortons. See? YOU PERSONALLY don't get to be proud of country because this is all it means. Yeah it's good coffee I like your coffee. SHUT UP. We're a little off as well.

We don't really mean anything. We did a few pretty cool things historically that declare us the vast expanse of empty land that is to be flooded with many cultures that mean something. Us twenty or thirty people paved the way for something incredibly beautiful, all we need to do is stop clinging to the fact that we who were here first did something that means anything culturally. We did not. We are not a culture, we are a collection of cultures. Our culture has nothing to do with the people who laid the way for us to become a culture.

What we are currently doing is something incredibly ugly, far beyond the limits of tolerable. The collective mass of low intelligence lack of perceptual filter bypass thinking causes a mass national farce. What you people have created is something that will forever be mocked to the very bottom by history. You don't think for a second, do you? All you think is "Oh but we wanna! We wanna be something unique! For pretend. It's fun. It's cute." Yeah we get made fun of for it it's silly it's fun. And forever mocked to the very bottom will only ever really require one joke. That's all you people have given us. One joke.

A young nation in a world of ancient cultures.
